I have had substantial experience in regard to assisting professionals who have been the subjects of disciplinary actions including lawyers, accountants, pharmacists, scientists, physicians, dentists, social workers and other therapists. Some of these matters have involved State Boards and some have involved professional organizations and peer review panels.
I have also represented lawyers and other professional who have been involved in contentious endings to partnerships with other professionals or who have disputes with clients and patients.
In recent years, I have spent much of my time doing intellectual property litigation (patent, copyright and trademark) in situations in which the IP lawyers felt the need to have a general litigator as part of the team. Generally speaking, I would not take on a challenging IP case without having the benefit of IP counsel. My job has been to handle the litigation issues while relying on the IP lawyers for the substantive issues. |
